Stephen Tromans QC practices from 39 Essex Street, where he is currently Joint head of Chambers. He has practiced in planning and environmental law since 1988, first as a solicitor and then at the Bar since 1999. The planning side of his work includes infrastructure projects, nuclear and other forms of energy, waste, ports, and other projects having significant environmental effects. He is the author of a number of textbooks, including “Environmental Impact Assessment”, published by Bloomsbury Professional, and has been working and writing on EIA and later SEA issues for 25 years. He was named as Chambers & Partners Environment and Planning Silk of the Year in 2011.
