John joined The Crown Estate in 1985 and became Finance Director in 2001.

He has responsibility for finance, information services and internal audit. John also has responsibility for championing The Crown Estate’s move towards integrated reporting which, for the first time, was reflected in the annual report and accounts in 2013 earning us the coveted PwC Building Public Trust Award for ‘Recognition in the Public Sector for Excellence in Reporting’. The 2014 Annual Report & Accounts, published on 26 June 2014 is the second year of The Crown Estate’s three year programme towards a fully integrated report.
