Colin is Managing Director of Compensation at Ardent where he leads a team of 17 surveyors specialising in compulsory purchase compensation.  He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1991 and has been providing advice in relation to compulsory purchase and compensation for more than 20 years.  Colin is an RICS accredited expert witness and has provided oral evidence at planning and CPO inquiries, DCO Examination, the Upper Tribunal (on 10 occasions) and the High Court.  As chairman of the CPA in 2016-2017 Colin also gave oral evidence to the Public Bill Committee examining the bill that became the Neighbourhood Planning Act 2017.
