Tim is currently Chief Planning Officer in EDF Energy's Nuclear New Build team. The team is responsible for promoting sites at both Hinkley Point in Somerset and at Sizewell in Suffolk through the planning process. Tim was responsible for making the company’s Development Consent Order application for Hinkley Point C (HPC) in October 2011 and then led the team during the examination by the Planning Inspectorate. The HPC Project was granted consent by the Secretary of State in March 2013.

Prior to EDF Energy, Tim spent over 10 years at the Airports Operator - BAA, where he held several senior roles including Planning Manager for Terminal 5, Head of Environmental Planning for the Stansted second runway project, and Head of Planning for the Heathrow third runway project. Prior to BAA, Tim worked in both Local Government and in consultancy.
