Background

Emily set up her own consultancy, ET Planning, in 2017 following 12 years’ experience in planning gained in both Local Authorities and a national multi-disciplinary planning consultancy.

During her 7 years in Local Authority, Emily worked within Development Management at Test Valley Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council. Since moving to the Private Sector, Emily has continued to expand her experience of the planning system, including education, ecclesiastical and commercial mixed use schemes, alongside residential development proposals. Emily also has increasingly aided clients responding formally to Planning Contravention Notices, negotiating with enforcement officers and submitting retrospective and certificate of lawfulness applications.

Emily has represented Local Authorities, third parties, and private clients at planning appeals. In addition to a wide variety of written representation and hearing cases covering various development sectors, Emily also has experience of appearing as an expert witness in Inquiries relating to residential and Gypsy related developments on behalf of both Local Authorities and private developers, and project managing such appeals on behalf of clients.
