Baker Rose primarily acts for major commercial and residential developers, funds and corporates, as well as public sector clients and charitable trusts from time to time.
The practice specialises in providing creative but realistic advice on complex issues and major opportunities, mostly relating to development, planning and investments associated with strategic land, logistics and public transport infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on ports and rail.
This includes the use and impact of compulsory purchase powers and associated compensation claims.
A combination of forensic research, strategic thinking and a legal and political awareness, tied to a facilitative but commercial approach to teamwork and securing results, has ensured a strong track record in achieving valuable results.
In addition to a significant portfolio of major
rail related development proposals, including DCO’s, Baker Rose id acting for a
wide range of clients affected by compulsory purchase, from rail to highways
and LPA regeneration schemes.
