Donald Scannell

Registrar, The Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber)


Donald Scannell was admitted as a solicitor in 1988. He worked in private practice and in local government playing either the lead or a leading role in the providing legal services for a number of high-profile infrastructure regeneration projects such as Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, London; the Millennium Bridge; and the Peckham Partnership. The latter being the regenerating, by the demolition and re-building, of five council housing estates in Peckham, London. He was appointed Registrar of the Lands Tribunal in 2000. He is the longest serving Tribunal Registrar in Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service. Donald is the contributing editor to Atkins Court Farms on the Lands Chamber.
