Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Peter's expertise has been called upon by Government departments, International property companies, construction companies, universities and private individuals throughout the UK and mainland Europe.

As President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Peter was the world wide face and voice of the property profession.

Peter started Peter Fall Cowie in 1973 building it to five offices and partners before he sold it in December 2004. Joining Eaga Group in 2005, Peter established and ran Eaga Professional Services developing the innovative Clear Building Survey system as well as being their Director of Property. Leaving Eaga in early 2011 Peter has now restarted his independent consultant building surveyor practice. Peter's particular specialism are building pathology, inspecting and reporting on all types of construction across the UK and dispute resolution, acting as an arbitrator and mediator on a variety of construction and property disputes.

Peter was President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors during 2002/03, having been the President of the Building Surveyors division in 1989/1990. He was the Secretary General of the Association d'Experts Europeens du Batiment et de la Construction 1995-1999 a EU grouping of Building Surveyors and the chairman of its Building Pathology Commission.

Peter is a regular presenter of papers at conferences throughout the UK. He presented a paper on Sustainable Development to the United Nations' World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg and went on to present further papers at the United Nations in Paris and New York as well as the Harvard Business School at Harvard University.

Peter has appeared in television programs such as 'The Cowboy Builders', 'Don't get done get Dom' and 'Kirsty and Phil's Property Guide'. His regular articles as 'The House Doctor' appear in the Newcastle Journal Homemaker supplement every Saturday.
