Barry started his career in the Valuation Office as a Graduate Valuer in 1990. He spent first 8 years at the City of London office in the Rating Team dealing mostly with offices and shops. He then moved to the London Specialist Rating Unit in 1998, where he spent the next 4 years dealing with Licensed Property, Theatres and Leisure. In 2003 his next job took him to North London as a Rating Appeals Team Leader, where he dealt with a wide variety of properties, including industrial and warehouses. Barry changed roles again in 2012 taking on the role of Revaluation and Market Analysis Team Leader for London Unit.
