David is a consultant within the Forensic Accounting Services department and has over 20 years’ forensic accounting and dispute resolution experience. During this time, he has gained significant experience of claims for consequential loss, breach of contract and warranty, fraud, compulsory purchase claim evaluation, personal injury for both Claimant and Defendant, matrimonial and professional negligence claims.

David has significant experience in valuations, professional negligence claims and business interruption claims, particularly in the financial services sector, matrimonial disputes, personal injury claims and in the assessment of loss in compulsory purchase matters.

David has, on a number of occasions, been appointed by the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to act as independent accountant as required by contracts and, since 1999, has acted on several occasions as single joint expert appointed by the Courts under the Civil Procedure Rules.

David is an Accredited Expert Witness and has represented the acquiring authority to resolve disputes and losses arising from the acquisition of business premises to progress the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, the 2012 Olympic Games and other private developments across the UK. He has also acted for claimants such as fast food restaurants, wholesale and retail stationers and fashion retailers dispossessed by their local authority. His work involves quantifying loss of profits and business valuations across a range of industries.

David is a founding member of the Expert Witness Institute, a member of the Academy of Experts, and a member of the Compulsory Purchase Association.
