David Holland is a Partner and Head of Squire Patton Boggs’ Compulsory Purchase & Land Compensation Team, specialising in a broad range of land compensation matters.
David specialises in advising clients in relation to compulsory purchase and land compensation matters, including compulsory purchase compensation claims, blight and claims under Part 1 of the Land Compensation Act 1973. He is also experienced in advising clients in the utilities and energy sectors in relation to statutory powers, property and compensation matters.
David has extensive experience of acting for clients in the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) and higher courts in compensation cases, with a strong track record of resolving compensation disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation, early neutral evaluation and expert determination.
Mr Holland is Immediate Past Chair of the Compulsory Purchase Association.
