Paul Rabbette MRICS

Managing Director, Paul Rabbette Ltd Chartered Surveyors

Paul is a member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Rating Surveyors Association (RSA) and is a RICS Registered Valuer.

Paul started his career in property in 1989 in the Valuation Office in Gloucester working as a Cadet Valuer, having taken the opportunity of moving from HMRC. Over the next few years he gained a Diploma in Surveying from the College of Estate Management and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1996. He continued working for the VO until 2000, based in the Worcester & Gloucester offices where he was heavily involved in the 1995 & 2000 rating revaluations.

Paul left the VO in 2000 to join BBG Commercial, where he was promoted to Director of Rating. He worked for BBG for 7 years; during that time the company became known as Douglas Duff Chartered Surveyors. In 2007 Paul joined CBRE in Birmingham as Director & Head of Rating in Birmingham.

The following year Paul decided to set up his own Surveying Practice, Paul Rabbette Ltd, which has been steadily growing ever since. The main focus of the business is Rating, although the company also undertakes Valuations, Landlord & Tenant and Compensation and Compulsory Purchase.

Although a small company, clients include larger corporate businesses and institutions with national profiles, reflecting the reputation that Paul has developed for Rating work. Paul can often be found representing clients at the Valuation Tribunal. The company also acts on a consultancy basis for other property firms that do not have their own rating specialists. Paul also gives CPD presentations for the RICS in the Midlands.

Paul is a keen runner and enjoys walking his dogs and gardening. He plays guitar and can occasionally be seen performing locally. A little known fact is that Paul is an art school dropout – before finding his true vocation in surveying!
