Martha Grekos

Director, Martha Grekos Legal Consultancy Limited

I am a Director at Martha Grekos Legal Consultancy Limited.

I specialise in Planning Law and Policy. I help clients realise their goals in gaining planning permission for large complex urban regeneration projects and strategic residential developments and major infrastructure projects, mainly transport and energy.

I think of my role as standing in the shoes of the client and working a part of a team to deliver a commercial outcome. I am not a lawyer that likes to just sit behind my desk and churn out the law. Instead, I focus on client service, rolling up my sleeves to unlock issues in order to find a way through – coming to an agreement with all parties involved.

I am also a Strategic Advisor for the Civil Aviation Authority on the H7+ Independent Board Panel to advice on process, policy and key decisions surrounding the expansion of Heathrow Airport.

I am ranked as one of the most influential women in planning (Planner, 2019), listed as one of the top three planning lawyers in the UK (Planning, 2016), and I have been voted by Property Week “40 Under 40” as one of the rising stars and most influential people in the property industry aged under 40 (2017). I am also ranked in Chambers UK 2019 as an “up and coming” planning lawyer in London and recommended in Legal 500 2018.
