Doug is a Development Planning Manager at Birmingham City Council and has over 25 years experience in planning and compulsory purchase at the City Council and in the private sector. He is a corporate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

He has both local planning and development management experience and considerable knowledge of the CPO process and in making the Council’s case for an Order to be confirmed. This has included the preparation of the Statement of Reasons and Statement of Case as well as appearing as the expert witness on planning related issues.

Major CPO projects worked on include the New Street Station Gateway Project, the Curzon Street redevelopment, the Cube development and the Masshouse highways remodelling.
