James Franklin

Director, CBRE


James Franklin is a Director in CBRE’s Compulsory Purchase team, joining from Network Rail and has over 13 years’ experience working in Compulsory Purchase and Compensation. James is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Compulsory Purchase Association.

James is involved in a broad range of projects and is responsible for providing advice to acquiring authority clients, their development partners and property owners, occupiers affected by compulsory purchase including relocation and in connection with regeneration, transportation and utility schemes.

James’s experience started with the Docklands Light Railway on numerous Transport and Works Act (TWA) projects. More recently James has been involved in a variety of different schemes using DCO’s, TCPA and Hybrid Bills working at Network Rail and CBRE and has experience in providing expert evidence in CPO inquiry.

James is currently advising and acting on behalf of High Speed 2 for property acquisitions in Euston and Old Oak Common as well as acting for claimants on other schemes around the country.
