Sarah practices in all areas of Town and
Country Planning. She has extensive experience across the full range of
planning matters and regularly appears in planning inquiries, enforcement
inquiries, compulsory purchase inquiries, planning prosecutions and development
plan examinations. She also regularly advises and appears in statutory
challenges and Judicial Review proceedings. She is instructed by the Government Legal
Department
as Junior
Counsel to the Crown (A Panel).
Sarah also specialises in Highway Law, and is the Assistant Editor of the leading practitioners’ text on the subject (the Encyclopedia of Highway Law and Practice).
Sarah is ranked as a leading junior in the Legal 500 for 2018, where she is described as “a formidable advocate”.
She is also ranked in the Chambers and Partners Guide to the UK Bar for 2018, and has consistently appeared in that publication since 2016. She has been recommended as follows;

Sarah is a Committee Member of Women in Planning North West, and has been instrumental in establishing that group in the North West. She is also a Committee Member to PEBA.
