Andrew West is a Partner and Director at Cooke & Arkwright responsible for business rates.

He started his career Valuation Office before moving to Cooke & Arkwright. 

He represents many diverse commercial property occupiers throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.   His experience includes the conduct of business rate appeals to the Valuation Tribunal and Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber).  

Andrew is the spokesperson for RICS Wales on local property taxation and a member of the Welsh Ratepayers Forum.   He has given evidence to the National Assembly’s Economy, Infrastructure and Skills Committee and the Welsh Government’s Business Rates Task and Finish Group on the devolution of business rates in Wales.

He is a member of the RICS National Rating and Local Taxation Policy Panel advising both the UK and Welsh Governments.
