Jon heads up TFT’s Dilapidations, Service Charge and Dispute Resolution service lines.

He joined TFT from Goodrow Building Consultancy, the specialist dilapidations and dispute resolution practice which he set up and ran. Before that he was a Partner at Malcolm Hollis LLP and was at Watts and Partners having originally trained at Jones Lang LaSalle.

His experience includes representing both landlords and tenants in complex high value dilapidations disputes on all classes of property in both the English, Welsh and the Scottish jurisdictions.

Jon has experience representing clients in negotiations, at mediation and regularly appoints as an expert witness either by individual parties or as a court-approved single joint expert.

Jon is a RICS accredited independent expert for dilapidations disputes; where he was engaged by RICS to train other dilapidations specialists to join the RICS’ panel of independent experts. He was also the lead author of the RICS Dilapidations Dispute Resolution Scheme.

He is also the lead author of the current RICS Dilapidations Guidance Note (England and Wales). Jon was also Chair of the RICS Dilapidations Forum from 2010 to 2015. He speaks regularly on dilapidations and dispute resolution and is a regular contributing author on these subjects.
