Jack
is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and
joined EY in September 2010. He moved into EY’s forensic accounting team in
August 2013 mostly working on dispute work, helping businesses with contract
disputes, transaction disputes and disputes arising from the compulsory
purchase of land. Jack is now a Manager on EY’s compulsory purchase team, and
has a particular focus on Manchester and the North of England. The team includes
over 10 professionals that are geographically spread across the country and has
worked on claims in the region of £100,000 to £90m, supporting on early case
assessments and negotiation discussions through to providing expert witness
evidence.
Jack’s experience on compulsory purchase work includes advising both claimants and acquiring authorities in relation to compensation arising on extinguishment and/or relocation. He has also helped to develop strategies for the negotiation of compensation claims supporting affected parties and their professional advisors to model outcomes on business disturbance claims to support key decisions.
