Rebecca is a partner in the Real Estate Disputes Group. She has 10+ years’ experience of complex high stakes disputes and managing claims at all levels of the UK court system including the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Rebecca covers all areas of real estate disputes. She advises fund managers, investors, developers and corporate occupiers on a range of contentious property issues including sale and purchase disputes; development and joint venture disputes; complex dilapidations disputes; property related insolvency claims; professional negligence; and business rates disputes.

She is ranked in Chambers 2021 as a ‘Notable Practitioner’ for Real Estate Litigation: “the quality of her advice is superb”, “she is very adept at getting things done”.

Rebecca is a regular speaker at property conferences and industry events and is also Chair of the Education & Training Committee of the Property Litigation Association (since 2018).

Reported cases include:

  • Acting for Tesco (successful respondent) in the Supreme Court case of Cardtronics & ors v Sykes (VO) [2020] UKSC 21, relating to the separate assessment of ATM sites for business rates.
  • Acting for the successful landlords in the Court of Appeal case of Tindall v Adda [2015] 1 P&CR 5, the leading case on intra-group assignments.
