Jamie is the Assistant Director responsible for the
GLA’s work on housing. This includes housing investment of around £5
billion, policy and strategy in relation to the housing market as a whole.
Jamie is also responsible for a range of housing-related services including
pan-London services to prevent rough sleeping and support for boroughs’
enforcement action in the private rented sector. He is also a member
representative on the Local Pension Board for the London Pension Fund Authority
and an Associate of Centre for London.
He has over ten years experience at a senior level working in housing development, local government and for a large UK bank. He has established and overseen housing investment programmes and the development, adoption and implementation of statutory strategies. This has given him broad experience in housing supply, affordable housing delivery, management standards in the private rented sector, rough sleeping services and the environmental retrofit of London’s homes.
Jamie is the author, in a personal capacity, of two reports recommending radical action to build the homes Londoners need - 'Mass-Delivery of Manufactured Homes for Rent' and 'In No Uncertain Terms'. Jamie holds a Law degree and a Masters in Public Administration as part of which he examined whether the modern Olympic Games had left cash cows, white elephants or successful economic, environmental and social legacies.
