Heather is a Technical Advisor in Chief Valuer Group of the VOA, mainly covering the South area and specialising in CCA across the network.

She has been in the VOA since 1983 and has a wide range of experience, predominantly in Rating, in the South and South West regions. She was lucky for a number of years to have Dorset as her ‘patch’ which included Lyme Regis and the beautiful Jurassic coast.

Heather, has been involved in casework across nearly all classes of property, been a team leader and carried out and managed many revaluations at a local and regional level. She has been involved in multiple rating lists and revaluations, witnessing many fascinating changes in the rating system over that time – of which CCA is one of the more extensive concepts implemented with its own peculiarities.

Heather gained the Rating Diploma in 2015 and is also an assessor for Module 6 Practice and Procedure. The Diploma was intense but extremely interesting , she would seriously encourage others experienced rating practitioners to undertake the course as it is a huge benefit to anyone in the field of rating.
