Douglas (Sandy) Grigg, SR/WA is a consultant specializing in public
sector real estate and related management services, (past 15 years), before that,
32 years’ experience in
public sector real estate working
for Ontario Power Generation and Ontario
Hydro. His background includes the full spectrum of real estate activities such
as, appraisal, acquisition, property, project and asset management,
expropriation, disposal, leasing, environmental, project planning and assorted
related management functions. His experience includes alternative dispute
resolution, First Nations negotiations, utility, municipal, provincial and
transit infrastructure projects working at all levels from negotiator to
Project Manager to Director of Real Estate. He authored the IRWA 701
Introduction to Leasing, IRWA 703 Introduction to Asset/ Property Management
courses as well as chapter 15 “Asset Management and Leasing of the Principles
of Right of Way Textbook. Sandy has made
presentations across Canada on such topics as Advanced Project Planning and
Project Delivery and Expropriation from a Negotiator Perspective. He is the past chair of the IRWA’s International
Professional Development Committee and past IRWA International President., 2009-2010.
