John has negotiated access to and acquisition of over 5000 properties throughout Australia, New Zealand for various infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, industrial and rural sectors. He has been personally responsible for the timely, cost effective land delivery for a number of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.

Key strengths include the ability to seamlessly imbed into (new or existing) project teams and quickly identify project delivery issues and deploy strategies to mitigate and manage risk.

Academically and professionally qualified with more than 25 years of senior leadership experience working as a Property Specialist in the major infrastructure project space John has proven his multi-disciplinary, practical, handson, pragmatic, team-player approach delivers outstanding results for clients.

John Sturgeon worked as a real estate valuer, project manager and senior advisor in the public sector throughout metropolitan & regional Queensland for almost a decade before establishing his own consultancy practice in 1998. Having been raised in rural Queensland and educated in Brisbane, John has a genuine and unique understanding of issues faced by Land Access, Community Engagement and Government Stakeholder Liaison activities of infrastructure owners and managers.
