Nicholas Cheffings

Global Chair, Hogan Lovells (from 2012-2018)


Nicholas recently retired as a partner at the international law firm Hogan Lovells, where he is now a consultant Senior Counsel. Having held several senior management roles, Nicholas served as the firms global Chair from 2012 to 2018. The firm ranks as the 10th largest firm in the world. An Honorary Member of RICS, Nicholas has over 35 years experience as a real estate lawyer, frequently acting for major occupiers of UK real estate. Amongst his other roles, Nicholas is an Independent Member of the governing Council of the University of Exeter. He is also the Executive Chair of PRIME, a UK charity with over 60 law firm members committed to promoting wider access for school-age students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds; a Trustee and past Chair of the social mobility charity Making the Leap; Chair of the British Paralympic Association's Parallel Club; and a trustee of The CareTech Charitable Foundation.
