MP for Rossendale & Darwen, Former Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Northern Powerhouse and Local Growth


The Right Hon. Jake Berry MP was appointed Minister of State for the Northern Powerhouse and Local Growth in Boris Johnson's first cabinet on 25 July 2019. In his role he represented the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

He was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from June 2019 to July 2019. This was in addition to his role as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, to which he was appointed on 8 January 2018.

He was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Communities and Local Government from 14 June 2017 to January 2018.

Jake was elected Conservative MP for Rossendale and Darwen in 2010.
