Richard is National Head of Business Rates at GL Hearn Limited, one of the largest providers of business rates services in the UK, and is responsible for overseeing the team and taking responsibility for the various added value rating services offered across the business.

He has over 35 years of experience in business rates and has been active across a wide range of geographies and property types with a particular emphasis on food and large space retail, banks, health and distribution sectors. He leads several key client accounts at GL Hearn and takes a leading role in providing GL Hearn’s thought leadership contributions to the business rates sector.

Richard is currently serving as Vice President to the Rating Surveyor’s Association in 2023/24 and provides business rates support/advice to wider stakeholder bodies such as the Property Managers Association and their members.
