Nicola started her career in private practice where she qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and specialised in providing business rates advice. She joined the Valuation Office Agency over 12 years ago and undertook rating valuation across the general bulk classes of office, retail and industrial and litigation in respect of warehouses. She also dealt with revaluation work in the South East Unit in both general bulk classes and specialist classes of property such as large shops and superstores. 

Nicola joined the National Valuation Unit in 2018 where she has been primarily involved in the rating valuation and litigation of specialist property from large shops, superstores, multi storey car parks and motorway service areas. Since April 2022 she is responsible for coordinating and leading discussions on the food classes with the Agent community and is also involved in delivery of valuation policy and advice to colleagues across the agency on these classes.
