Beth is experienced in a wide range of compulsory purchase and land compensation matters, advising both acquiring authorities and claimants in respect of compulsory purchase compensation claims and claims under Part 1 of the Land Compensation Act 1973. In particular, Beth acts in the aviation, retail, energy and utility sectors, including acting for several UK airports and statutory undertakers.
Beth is experienced in acting in proceedings before the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) in claims for compensation relating to compulsory purchase, business extinguishment and relocation, and Part 1 claims, as well as representing clients in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. Beth is a past-Chair of the CPA Futures Committee. Beth also has substantial experience acting in the utilities sector on a range of disputes, including land compensation and access rights.
