Mike Heiser is a Senior Adviser (Finance) at the Local Government Association. He has been at the LGA since 1998.  

He leads for the LGA on business rates reform, valuation and collection matters. Other areas of responsibility include council tax, the annual local government finance settlement and local government finance reform.

He is a member of the Valuation Tribunal User Group and various other groups involving the Valuation Office Agency and the Department for Levelling Up Housing and Communities.
