Chris has worked for the VOA in London since the early 1990s. Now with the VOA's National Valuation Unit, Chris supports Valuation Officers in respect of commercial rating matters. This includes approaches to rental adjustment, tenants’ improvements, intermittent uses of land, markets, market places and incorporeal hereditaments such as advertising rights; Chris also assists Valuation Officers in litigation matters, should the need arise.

Chris holds the RICS Rating Diploma and is currently Chairman of the Rating Diploma Holders’ Section. Chris is also a member of the Rating Surveyors' Association.
