Ian is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Expert Witness with over 20 years’ property experience. He has worked on the country’s leading energy and infrastructure projects including HS2, Sizewell C, Hinkley Point C, and East West Rail, and has a wide breadth of experience encompassing the promotion of many high-profile compulsory purchase schemes, negotiation and objection management, and other land and property issues.

He has been involved in overseeing and advising on land services in support of over 35 DCO projects and has provided expert evidence at Inquiries and hearings.

He is recognised as one of the leading surveyors for the promotion of large infrastructure projects and regularly presents on best practice and how to manage consenting and compensation risks.
