James Boddington is a Chartered Surveyor and Associate Partner at Fisher German. A rural practice surveyor by qualification, James now predominantly specialises in advising on and negotiating the acquisition of land or rights to enable the deliver infrastructure projects acting on behalf of claimants, acquiring authorities and others with affected interests. Clients include local and national authorities, private landowners, and developers across a broad range of projects including highways, railways, flood defences and district heating schemes. Most recently, James has supported North Somerset Council in advising on their Banwell Bypass scheme near Weston-Super-Mare, which has included strategic advice from early scheme design through public inquiry and service of statutory notices following CPO confirmation, leading a team negotiating the acquisition of land and rights. James and his colleagues also represent a number of landowners effected by HS2 and have experience of Part 1 and Section 10 claims.
James is a current member of the CPA
LURA Working Group and previous member of the Professional Fees Working Group,
as well as a fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
