Ben is a lawyer at the Law Commission of England and Wales, working in the public law team. He joined the Law Commission in 2023 in order to lead a review of the law of compulsory purchase and compensation. Prior to that Ben trained to be a solicitor in private practice with BDB Pitmans LLP (formerly Bircham Dyson Bell) and qualified in 2019. He worked in the firm’s planning, infrastructure and public law department, with experience of land   acquisition for major infrastructure projects.
