Sam is a Senior Associate within Herbert Smith Freehill Kramer's Planning and Environment team. He advises on all aspects of town and country planning, with a particular focus on large scale regeneration schemes. He advises on land assembly and the promotion and implementation of associated compulsory purchase orders. Sam also advises on CPO compensation claims, the negotiation of compromise agreements, and the engagement of section 203 through acquisition or appropriation of land for planning purposes. Sam wrote the response on behalf of the City of London Law Society to the Law Commission's recent consultation on compulsory purchase reform.
