Keith Murray is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He started his career with the District Valuers Office where he dealt with all aspects of compulsory purchase and compensation advice; primarily advising local authorities and government departments. He subsequently worked at the DVO head office as a specialist valuer advising on development land tax, capital gains tax and capital transfer tax.
For twelve years he was a partner with Edwin Hill in charge of the Specialist Services Department responsible for advising largely claimant clients in connection with compulsory purchase and compensation; which following on from his career in the DVO gave him the benefit of understanding compensation from both a claimant’s and an acquiring authority’s viewpoint.
In 2000 he set up in practice on his own account to provide a specialist service in compulsory purchase and compensation with a personal approach. Keith Murray Consultants is a highly regarded expert practice in compulsory purchase and compensation.
