FINAL FEW SEATS AVAILABLE - BOOK NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

Two years on from the National Planning Policy Framework, do we now have a planning system that is fit for purpose? The economic recovery is now under way but is the planning system a help or a hindrance to the goal of sustainable growth? Do we need to work with the system we have or embark on further fundamental reform?

PEBA’s Seventh National Conference will focus on the key issues facing the planning system in 2014. Is the law frustrating delivery? How can the complexities be safely navigated? What improvements are required? We will be looking at the mechanisms for determining challenges to planning decisions. We will be looking at the National Planning Practice Guidance and examining the central role of policy and its proper interpretation. We will be asking whether the SEA regime is workable. Our afternoon debate will look at whether the plan-led system can be made to deliver, and our popular case law update will address the key legal decisions of the last 12 months.

Last year, the Planning and Environment Bar Association’s conference saw over 150 practitioners attend what has been credited as a ‘must attend’ event, attracting planners, lawyers, surveyors and barristers in high numbers.

The Conference provides delegates with the opportunity to meet, listen to and benefit from thought provoking, yet practical papers on important matters affecting practice.

In addition, with the benefit of excellent networking opportunities in a first class venue, this Conference will contribute to meeting your CPD requirements at a very affordable price.
