This module focuses on compensation where no land is acquired and relates to situations where individuals or businesses suffer loss or damage to the value of their land due to a public project, even though no land is taken from them by the authority concerned. This form of compensation recognises that the impacts of such projects should be compensated for where an entitlement to claim for damages may have existed had the project not been carried out by a body with statutory powers.
