CPO - Talking Heads - Inaugural Meeting

The HS2 Land and Property Review: How will it improve relations between promoters and claimant advisors?

The principle behind talking heads is a simple one; how to stay abreast of key issues in the industry.  10 months ago we could meet for lunch, go to events; but COVID stopped all this.  A solution is now at hand with a new style event and format. Join the lunchtime discussion 'CPO - Talking Heads'

This inaugural event in January will focus on:

HS2 Land and Property Review 2020:

How will it improve relations between promoters and claimant advisors?

HS2 is one of the most demanding, exciting and controversial projects in Europe, and is the largest acquisition programmes of our lifetime, involving more property interests and claimants than any previous project.

Construction has only recently begun, and land acquisition programme continues, but the report contains 36 proposals which are intended to transform the way promoters, claimants and claimant advisers engage.

So discussion topics will be:

  • What are the key areas and will they change the relationship between promoter and claimant?
  • Do these issues address the concerns from the Claimant Advisory Forum?
  • What do claimant practitioners need to do to benefit from these commitments?
  • Who will police the commitments?

This is not a webinar and has no slide presentation, it's purely an informal discussion. It is about talking, networking and engaging with fellow practitioners, but equally, you can just simply sit and listen over your lunch!
