Key aspects to provide such assessments include rateable value, the multiplier, transitional arrangements, and reliefs. This event will look at the outcomes from the 2023 revaluation and the wider package of measures that will take effect on 1st April 2023. How did properties get the value that appears in the Draft List? Hear from the Chief Valuer and his market experts at the VOA and hear from DLUHC on the wider package of measures that will take effect on 1st April 2023.

This event will have commentary from the Chief Valuer and his market experts at the Valuation Office Agency on the outcomes from revaluation 2023, the challenges they faced this time around and how they overcame them in collecting the data at the AVD; and undertook valuations reflecting the pandemic. How have values changed between lists, what are the regional and sector variations?

Perhaps of greatest value in attending this event is the commentary, insights and explanations of the outcomes - something that cannot be obtained simply by interrogating the list of values in the List. In addition, this event will look at the wider policy context in delivering the revaluation.

The second part of the afternoon will hear from some leading members of the profession who will have the opportunity to comment on the Draft List values. All of the speakers will join an in depth debate, where issues will be debated and questions from the audience will be addressed.

If you are involved in rating work, this is an event you cannot afford to miss.
