This year we have a wide-ranging programme and pre-eminent set of speakers. Compulsory purchase has long been recognised as a key tool for unlocking development opportunities, regeneration and delivering much needed infrastructure. The role of compulsory purchase in achieving Government objectives has come into particular focus in recent years. There has been a number of significant changes introduced through new legislation, the practical effects of which are as of yet unknown, with further reform anticipated.
There is, therefore, no better time for practitioners to both take stock of where we are, and reflect on what is on the horizon. This year’s Conference will consider the implications of recent CAAD decisions, as well as how conditional CPOs will work in practice, in addition to some practical case study sessions.
Alongside the technical content, the Conference remains the sector’s leading opportunity to reconnect with peers across law, surveying, planning and the public sector, bringing together those actively involved in shaping the compulsory purchase landscape.
If you are involved in compulsory purchase and compensation, this is a must attend event.
